Privacy Policy
MowLogic ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use mowlogic.com.au, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Who we are
MowLogic is operated by Beverages by Design, trading under the Contract Kegs Unit Trust, based in Wangaratta, Victoria. You can contact us at hello@mowlogic.com.au.
What we collect
- Quote enquiries: when you submit the lawn-area quote form, we collect your name, email, optional phone number, property address, the lawn polygons you drew, the calculated area, and the recommended mower(s).
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to record anonymised usage data — pages viewed, approximate location (country/state level), device type, referrer, and interaction events such as "polygon drawn" or "quote submitted". We do not link analytics data to individual identities.
- Server logs: our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) records standard access logs including IP address, user agent, and request URL. These are retained briefly for security and operational purposes.
- Map usage: when you use the lawn calculator, your address is sent to Google Maps for autocomplete and geocoding. Google's own privacy policy applies to that interaction.
How we use it
- To respond to your quote enquiry and recommend a suitable robot mower.
- To improve the accuracy of our calculator and the relevance of our recommendations.
- To monitor and improve site performance and availability.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with services that help us run the site:
- Web3Forms — processes the quote form submission and forwards it to our inbox.
- Cloudflare — hosts the site, routes email for the
@mowlogic.com.audomain, and provides DDoS protection. - Google — provides Maps, Places autocomplete, and Analytics. Google may transfer data outside Australia under its standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies, mostly set by Google Analytics, to recognise return visitors and aggregate traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the calculator will still work without them.
How long we keep it
Quote enquiries are retained for as long as needed to follow up with you, and then archived. Analytics data is retained per Google's defaults (up to 14 months at the user level). Server logs are typically rotated within 30 days.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act, you can ask us to:
- Confirm what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is inaccurate.
- Delete your information from our systems.
Email hello@mowlogic.com.au with your request and we'll action it within a reasonable period.
Complaints
If you believe we've mishandled your information, please contact us first so we can resolve it. If you're not satisfied, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page.
